The Raleigh Group Welcomes Madison Alligood as General Counsel

RALEIGH, N.C. — January 5, 2026 — The Raleigh Group is pleased to announce that Madison Alligood has joined the firm as General Counsel, bringing a wealth of experience from North Carolina’s legislative and legal communities to the firm’s expanding government relations and policy practice.

Before joining The Raleigh Group, Madison served as Deputy General Counsel and Policy Advisor to Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, where she played a key role on health care and judiciary issues and advised both the Senate Health Committee and Senate Appropriations on Health and Human Services.

Her background as a trusted staffer in the North Carolina Senate gives her a deep understanding of the policymaking process, while her legal training — including service as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard Dietz at the North Carolina Court of Appeals — allows her to analyze the legal implications of proposed and enacted legislation for clients.

A native of Eastern North Carolina, Madison earned her bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. She is also deeply engaged in community service as a Guardian ad Litem child advocate and a team captain for the Junior League of Raleigh’s partnership with StepUp Ministry.
